 New Journey View Advanced Options 

You are currently in extended help mode. This will provide helpful information on using the Journey Planner. You can turn extended help off at any time by clicking the "Extended help OFF" link above.

In extended help mode additional text explaining the options available to you is displayed throughout the page, you can also click the question mark icons for a more detailed explanation of each section of a form.

Advanced users can click the "View Advanced Options" link above to reveal addition form fields allowing more complex Journey Plans to be performed.

From:
Street or Stop No:
Enter the Street number and name (for example "450 Queen St")

or enter a street intersection (for example "Queen&&Custom")

or enter the stop number (for example "7022")
 
Suburb or Landmark:
Enter either a Suburb (e.g. "Morningside") or a Landmark (e.g. "Skytower").

It is usually best to not enter a suburb if you've entered a street (you may call it Kingsland while we think it's Morningside).

Mode:
Choose your preferred mode of travel below.

Note that "Buses, Trains & Ferries" will not give results for school buses. For all options, choose "Any mode of transport".

 
Preference:
Quickest Low Fare
Convenience View All
Quickest: If you select "leave after" below, this will give you the trip which arrives at your destination the earliest when leaving after the specified time.
If you select "arrive before", this will give you the option that arrives at your chosen destination the closest time to that specified.

Convenience: Will look for the most straightforward journey, where possible minimising walk time and the requirement to change vehicles.

Low Fare: Will look at all of the journey options and if one's cheaper than the other, give you the cheapest option.
Help
When: Help
Enter the date and time you like to leave after or arrive by. The Journey Planner defaults to the current day and time. You can select any date up to two weeks in advance of today's date.

If you know your earliest departure time, choose "Leave after" and enter the departure time.

If you know your latest arrival time, choose "Arrive by" and enter an arrival time. The selected journeys will arrive no later than that time.

Choosing "First for the day" will find the first journey of the day.

Choosing "Last for the day" will find the last journey of the day.
