Planning your trip to Pasifika 2005
To plan your journey to Pasifika 2005 by public transport just go to the Journey Planner. Put the place or address that you want to leave from in the 'from' field and put "Western Springs Park" in the 'Landmark' field in the 'to' area.
Connecting Services
Stagecoach will be running special bus services to the Pasifika Festival on Saturday, as well as its usual services. Connex will run regular scheduled train services on the Southern, Eastern and Western lines with Stagecoach bus connections at Britomart, Newmarket and Mt. Albert train stations. See below for details. Normal fares apply or you can use your Stagecoach or Connex passes.
On Saturday, Stagecoach will be running a shuttle bus from Newmarket to Western Springs, departing from outside 277 Broadway in Newmarket. - Buses will be departing from Newmarket every 15 minutes between 9.00am and 1.00pm.
- Buses will be returning to Newmarket from Western Springs every 15 minutes between 1.00pm and 6.00pm.
Normal fares apply (Adults $2.60, children/senior citizens $1.50) and the AucklandPass and GroupPass are able to be used on these buses.
From the South or South-East:
TRAIN - Take the Southern Line train service to Newmarket station and then connect to the Newmarket shuttle bus mentioned above.
From the North, East or Central city:
BUS - Take bus route 045 from Britomart (bus stop D8) to the Pasifika Festival. The bus travels via Queen St, K' Rd, Great North Rd to Pt Chevalier. Ask for the Western Springs stop. You can catch the same bus back.
TRAIN - Take the Western Line train from Britomart station to Mt Albert station and transfer, at no extra charge, onto the Stagecaoch special bus (picking up from Carrington Rd, near the train station). Just show your train ticket!
From the West:
BUS - Catch any of the usual scheduled services travelling along Great North Rd. Ask for the Western Springs stop.
TRAIN - Take the Western Line train to Mt Albert station and transfer, at no extra charge, onto the Stagecaoch special bus (picking up from Carrington Rd, near the train station). Just show your train ticket!
Unitec Shuttle:
- Buses will be departing from Unitec to Western Springs every 15 minutes between 8.45am and 6.30pm
- $1 per ride per person.
