Effective from Monday 30 April 2001
Route 886 Albany from Browns Bay and vice versa.
The completion of the McClymonts Road link between Pinehill and Albany Centre has enabled us to introduce the originally planned route through this development.
Current Route
From Browns Bay Shops (Clyde Rd opposite Inverness Rd) via Clyde Rd, Anzac Rd, Glencoe Rd, Oaktree Ave, East Coast Rd, Greville Rd, State Highway 17 to bus stop outside Massey University. Bus continues as Route 555/6. And vice versa.
New Route
From Browns Bay Shops (Clyde Rd opposite Inverness Rd) via Clyde Rd, Anzac Rd, Glencoe Rd, Oaktree Ave, East Coast Rd, Greville Rd, Hugh Green Drive, McClymonts Rd, Don McKinnon Drive, to bus stop near North Shore District Court. Bus continues as Route 555/6. And vice versa.
As a consequence of the above change, and of the development of the District Court and the adjacent shopping facilities, the following adjustments to other routes in the area will be introduced.
Routes 555, 556 from Highbury and Browns Bay and vice versa.
From Oteha Valley Rd then:
Current
via Appian Way, Don McKinnon Drive, Coliseum Drive, State Highway 17 to bus stop opposite Massey University. Selected trips continue as Route 886. And vice versa.
New Route
Via Appian Way, Don McKinnon Drive, Coliseum Drive, State Highway 17, Mercari Way to bus stop near North Shore District Court. Selected trips continue as Route 886. And vice versa.
Route 847 from Auckland and Takapuna and vice versa.
From Albany Highway then:
Current
Via State Highway 17 to bus stop opposite Massey University. And vice versa.
New Route
Via State Highway 17, Mercari Way to the bus stop near North Shore District Court.
Routes 891, 957, 977, and 978.
Discussions have also been held with Bayes Coachlines and Birkenhead Transport and route changes similar to Route 847 will be introduced prior to the mid August opening of the new District Court.
These changes will not affect existing users.
The Hibiscus Coast route and Route 557 will not change.
The Journey Planner will use these new routes for calculating trip plans from 30 April 2001.
