Senior Citizens with a Senior Citizens ID Card can travel for a child fare at all times except before 9am on weekdays.

To be eligible for a Senior Citizens ID Card, applicants must be old enough to get the full NZ Superannuation which is 65yrs.

Application Forms are available by contacting Rideline on 366 6400, or click here to download a printable pdf version (680kb). Once your application has been received in the post, you will receive your ID card in about 2 working weeks.

If your card is lost or stolen, you will be required to write a brief letter quoting your name, address and phone number plus a cheque for $6.50 to Senior Citizens ID Card, Auckland Regional Transport Authority, Private Bag 92 236, Auckland.
