Step 1
Use the journey planner to find the station and trip that suits you.
Step 2
Get to your station a few minutes early. As the train arrives, make sure the driver can see you.
Step 3
Pay your fare to the guard on the train (exact change is appreciated but small notes can be changed). Tickets can now also be purchased from the ticket office in the CPO building at Britomart.

Step 4
All trains, except express trains, stop at all stations.
Step 5
Frequent buses to Queen St and K'Rd depart outside the CPO building at stop D8. If you use an adult monthly pass on the train, travel to Queen St and K'Rd is free on Stagecoach buses, just show your pass to the bus driver.
